Availability

My availability is not visible to Supervisors and is only visible to the Owners if they have joined a location.

My Shifts is a powerful tool in Cuttinboard that provides an easy way for employees to manage their work schedules across multiple locations. This feature allows you to check your shifts and set your availability, ensuring efficient communication with your managers and fellow team members.

To access My Availability, follow these steps:

  • Make sure to be logged into a location.
  • Navigate to the "My Shifts" section, which displays your shifts across all your locations.
  • If you are logged into a specific location, you can click the checkbox to "Only show shifts at this location" for a more focused view.
  • On the top right corner, click on "My Availability" to set your preferred working hours for each day of the week.
  • You should declare your availability for each location you work for. This is designed this way in case there are time conflicts between different locations. For now, I will declare my availability for The Garden Cafe
  • Declare your availability for each day of the week, if you are available the whole day, you may leave it as Not set.
  • For example, click on the "Available" tab to declare that on Monday, you are available from 9 AM to 5 PM. Press ok to save the time.
  • On Tuesday, click on the "Unavailable" tab to declare that you are unavailable from 9 AM to 5 PM.
  • If you can't work on Tuesdays, click on the "All Day" checkbox.
  • Finally, click on the "Save" button on top to apply your changes.

Managers can use your availability information to make informed decisions when creating work schedules. This ensures that shifts are assigned fairly and according to each team member's preferences, promoting a positive work environment.
