Shift Tasks

In the fast-paced restaurant industry, keeping track of tasks and ensuring smooth operations can be a challenge. Cuttinboard's Shift Tasks feature provides an intuitive way for managers and employees to create, organize, and monitor tasks for each shift. This powerful tool enhances productivity and facilitates communication, leading to a more efficient and successful work environment.

To utilize the Shift Tasks feature, follow these steps:

  • Log in to Cuttinboard and navigate to the "Shift Tasks" tab.
  • Click on the "New Task List" button to create a new task list for your employees.
  • Edit the name of the Task list to provide context, for example, "Tasks for Amanda."
  • Type a task in the input field, and press the "Enter" key to add them to the list.
  • To print the task list and distribute it to your employees, click on the "Printer" icon.
  • Once a shift is completed, and you want to start fresh, click "Start New Shift" to delete the existing task list and create a new one for the upcoming shift.

By implementing the Shift Tasks feature in Cuttinboard, restaurant owners and managers can streamline their workforce management and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. To utilize the Shift Tasks feature, follow these steps:

  • Click on the "New Task List" button to create a new task list for your employees. That will be the + icon on top
  • Edit the name of the Task list by clicking on the pen icon, for example, "Tasks for Amanda."
  • Tap "Add a Task" to assign tasks for Amanda
  • Tap the three dots menu to access options such as editing, reorganizing or deleting the task.
  • Once a shift is completed, and you want to start fresh, click "Start New Shift"(on the three dots menu on the top bar) to delete the existing task lists and create a new ones for the upcoming shift.
